Skanska Expands Global Order Book With US Data Center and Norwegian Rail Projects

Skanska (SKAb.ST) has announced the acquisition of two significant new contracts, further diversifying its project portfolio across North America and Scandinavia. The company continues to leverage existing client relationships to secure specialized infrastructure work in high-demand sectors. In the United States, the firm has signed a $75 million agreement to construct a data center in Georgia. This project, which aligns with the broader trend of increased cloud computing infrastructure investment, is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2028. The value of this contract will be integrated into the company's US order bookings for the first quarter of 2026. Simultaneously, Skanska has expanded its Nordic footprint through a contract with Bane NOR to deliver the Stange-Otterstad rail infrastructure project in Norway. This agreement is valued at 1.1 billion Swedish kronor and is expected to be included in the Nordic order bookings for the second quarter of 2026. These developments underscore Skanska's ability to maintain a steady pipeline of diverse projects.
