Astorg Partners has implemented a sweeping leadership overhaul, transferring a substantial portion of the firm's equity to its newest partners. This strategic redistribution is designed to align the interests of the next generation of executives with the long-term success of the firm. The European-based private equity firm, which manages approximately €23 billion ($26 billion) in assets, has seen its new leadership tier acquire nearly 50% of the company's equity. This transition, described as an 'internal LBO,' ensures a structured succession process within the organization. Benjamin Cordonnier, who was appointed as co-managing partner last year, is leading the firm alongside Judith Charpentier. The shift in ownership structure is intended to stabilize the firm's governance as it continues to manage its extensive portfolio across various sectors.
