Nordex Secures Spanish Wind Project with 80 MW Initial Order

Nordex SE announced on Friday that it has landed a new onshore wind turbine order in Spain, bringing an initial capacity of 80 MW to the region. The agreement involves the deployment of 13 N175/6.X turbines, which will be mounted on tubular steel towers with hub heights of 112 meters. While the specific customer and location of the wind farm remain undisclosed, the order underscores Nordex's continued footprint in the European renewable energy market. The project is structured for a multi-year rollout, with installation slated to begin in the spring of 2027 and full commissioning expected by the end of that year. Beyond the hardware supply, the deal includes a 20-year Premium Service agreement, ensuring a steady long-term revenue stream for the company. Furthermore, the contract contains an option to expand the project by an additional 40 MW, which would bring the total capacity to 120 MW in the future. In recent trading, Nordex shares closed at EUR 45.64 on the XETRA, marking a slight increase of 0.18%. The company continues to focus on multi-megawatt onshore solutions as part of its broader growth strategy in the wind energy sector.
