ChipMOS Technologies saw a significant revenue jump in the first quarter of 2026, fueled by the AI boom. March sales specifically showed strong month-over-month and year-over-year gains.

  • Q1 revenue reached NT$6,935.6 million (US$216.4 million)
  • Year-over-year Q1 revenue increase of 25.4%
  • March revenue grew 16.7% month-over-month
  • March revenue grew 23.1% year-over-year
  • Growth attributed to AI-related demand/supply imbalance in memory solutions

ChipMOS Technologies (IMOS) has posted a robust start to 2026, reporting a 25.4% year-over-year increase in first-quarter revenue. The company's total revenue for the period reached NT$6,935.6 million, equivalent to approximately US$216.4 million. The growth is primarily attributed to the surging demand for high-value memory solutions. As data centers and artificial intelligence applications expand, ChipMOS is capitalizing on a persistent imbalance between supply and demand within the AI hardware ecosystem. Performance peaked in March 2026, with monthly revenue hitting NT$2,501.6 million, or US$78.1 million. This represents a 16.7% increase over February 2026 and a 23.1% increase compared to March 2025. These figures underscore the continued strength of the semiconductor backend sector. The ability of packaging and testing firms to scale alongside AI chip demand suggests a sustained growth trajectory for the broader AI infrastructure trade.
