Aave token holders have approved the 'Aave Will Win' proposal, redirecting all protocol and application-layer revenue to the DAO. The move establishes the AAVE token as the primary vehicle for economic rights and resolves a months-long dispute over fee distribution.

  • Full redirection of branded product revenue to the DAO treasury
  • Resolution of the December fee-redirection dispute
  • Approval of $31.8 million in combined funding for Aave Labs
  • Integration of Aave V4 reinvestment features to boost yield
  • Long-term target to scale TVL to $1 trillion

The Aave community has passed a pivotal governance vote, ending a protracted conflict over the control of protocol revenue. The 'Aave Will Win' (AWW) proposal mandates that 100% of revenue from all Aave-branded products be redirected to the DAO treasury, effectively consolidating economic rights under the AAVE token. This decision follows a dispute that began in December after Aave Labs redirected swap fees away from the community treasury. The new framework eliminates 'value leakage' by requiring service providers to build exclusively for Aave, ensuring that protocol growth directly benefits token holders rather than external entities. Financial data indicates that Aave reported protocol revenue of $140 million in 2025, with 2026 projections tracking at a similar level. This is further supplemented by $10 million to $20 million in additional revenue from application-layer products such as Aave Pro and Aave App. To sustain operations, the DAO has approved a $25 million stablecoin grant and an allocation of 5,000 AAVE tokens, valued at approximately $6.8 million, to Aave Labs. The protocol, which currently manages roughly $25 billion in total value locked (TVL), is eyeing aggressive expansion. Plans include the launch of Aave V4, featuring a reinvestment mechanism for idle capital, and the integration of agentic AI infrastructure. Founder Stani Kulechov has set a long-term target of scaling the network from $40 billion to $1 trillion in assets, positioning Aave as a global financial network for fintechs and asset managers.
