Georg Fischer AG has entered into a significant agreement with Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo (Sabesp) to upgrade water infrastructure in Brazil's most populous state. The contract, valued at approximately CHF 100 million, marks one of the largest orders in the Swiss company's history. The project is part of a broader strategic effort by Brazil to achieve universal access to water and sanitation services by 2033. By supplying high-performance polyethylene pipes, Georg Fischer will help Sabesp modernize its distribution networks, which currently serve over 28 million customers across 375 municipalities. The 24-month partnership builds upon a previous collaboration in 2025, which saw the deployment of a NeoFlow pressure management chamber. This latest deal emphasizes the long-term relationship between the industrial manufacturer and the Brazilian utility provider. The announcement follows a positive trading session for both entities. Georg Fischer closed Friday at CHF 42.38, up 1.10%, while Sabesp ended the session at BRL 170.50, a gain of 2.46%. The contract provides a stable revenue stream for Georg Fischer over the next two years.
