Uber Expands Philanthropic 'Hope Rides' Initiative into Florida

Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER) has announced the expansion of its "Hope Rides" program to Florida, specifically integrating services at the CASA Family Justice Center. This initiative provides critical transportation for individuals surviving human trafficking, sexual assault, and domestic violence, ensuring they can safely access essential resources. Launched in 2025, the Hope Rides program is a collaborative effort with Alliance for HOPE International. The initiative is designed to remove transportation barriers, allowing survivors to reach the comprehensive, wraparound services offered at Family Justice Centers across the country. Since its introduction last July, the partnership has facilitated more than 21,000 miles of travel and provided over 2,000 rides to survivors across 12 states. Uber intends to scale the program's reach from 18 to 30 participating centers nationwide within the current year. Participating centers have reported that the availability of reliable transportation has significantly reduced missed appointments and increased survivor engagement, thereby strengthening overall safety planning. While the initiative bolsters Uber's corporate social responsibility profile, it remains a philanthropic venture rather than a primary driver of financial growth.
