FedEx Corp. (FDX) has announced a leadership transition in its finance department, with Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer John Dietrich set to depart the company. The transition is timed to coincide with the successful spin-off of FedEx Freight into an independent, publicly traded entity. Dietrich will officially step down from his CFO duties on June 1, though he will remain with the organization until July 31 to ensure a smooth handover. To maintain operational continuity, Claude Russ, currently the Enterprise Vice President of Finance, will step in as interim CFO effective June 1. The company has stated it will initiate a comprehensive search for a permanent replacement, evaluating both internal and external candidates.
