AAFS Infrastructure Proposes $1.8 Billion Energy and Transport Overhaul in Bosnia

AAFS Infrastructure and Energy has announced plans for a substantial capital injection totaling €1.5 billion ($1.8 billion) aimed at modernizing critical infrastructure within Bosnia. The proposed investment is designed to upgrade the nation's transport and energy sectors to enhance regional efficiency. The project's scope specifically targets the development of airports, the construction of gas-fired power plants, and the establishment of a new gas pipeline. These initiatives are intended to bolster the Balkan country's energy security and improve its logistical connectivity. The venture is spearheaded by Jesse Binnall, a former attorney for Donald Trump, and Joseph Flynn, the brother of former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Both individuals were previously associated with efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 U.S. presidential election. From a market perspective, while the investment is significant for the local Bosnian economy, it is unlikely to trigger volatility in global energy or infrastructure markets.
