AT&T and Citigroup Enhance Rewards for Points Plus Credit Card

AT&T Inc. (T) and Citigroup Inc. (C) have announced a series of enhancements to the AT&T Points Plus Card, aimed at strengthening customer loyalty through improved financial incentives. The updated program focuses on reducing the cost of ownership for AT&T wireless and internet subscribers while leveraging Citigroup's rewards infrastructure to provide more flexible redemption options. Key updates to the card include monthly discounts on AT&T service bills and the accrual of 2x ThankYou Points on all AT&T products and services. Additionally, the card has eliminated foreign transaction fees, making the product more competitive for international travelers. Cardholders will continue to have access to World Mastercard benefits, including Priceless Experiences and Mastercard ID Theft Protection. Redemption options remain broad, spanning cash back, gift cards, travel, and shopping at participating retailers. The announcement had a negligible impact on share prices. In pre-market trading, AT&T was quoted at $26.54, up 0.17 percent, while Citigroup was trading at $131.75, down 0.33 percent on the New York Stock Exchange.
