The property in question is a seven-bedroom mansion located just off one of the city's most prestigious streets. The residence gained additional notoriety as the former home of England football captain Harry Kane, who previously leased the property. According to court filings, the buyer, Jun Zhang, entered into an agreement to acquire the home in December 2023 for a total price of £16.9 million. However, the developer alleges that Zhang failed to complete the purchase by the agreed-upon deadline in April 2024. While the case is a private civil dispute, it highlights the legal risks associated with ultra-high-net-worth real estate transactions in the UK's prime market. The trial is scheduled to take place this week in London.
