Viasat to Deploy AMARA Connectivity Across Jetstar Boeing 737 Fleet

Viasat (VSAT) has been selected by Jetstar Airways to provide advanced in-flight connectivity services for its fleet of Boeing (BA) 737 aircraft. The partnership aims to modernize the onboard digital experience for passengers traveling with the low-cost carrier. Jetstar, which operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group (QUBSF), will integrate Viasat's AMARA connectivity system into its operations. This move is part of a broader trend among airlines to enhance passenger amenities through high-speed internet access. According to the announcement, the Viasat system will be installed in 11 of the carrier's aircraft. While the initial scope is limited to a small portion of the fleet, the deal reinforces Viasat's footprint in the aviation connectivity sector.
