  • Anticipated summer IPO valuation between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion
  • Ark Invest's 2030 enterprise value target is $2.5 trillion
  • Starlink revenue projected to reach $165 billion by 2030
  • Strategic merger with xAI enables potential orbital data center development
  • Launch revenue expected to grow slowly to $4.6 billion by 2030

SpaceX is preparing for a highly anticipated public debut this summer, with valuation estimates placing the aerospace giant between $1.75 trillion and $2 trillion. Ark Invest, which holds SpaceX as the largest position in its ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) at over 17% of the fund's value, is closely monitoring the company's growth trajectory. The valuation is driven primarily by SpaceX's dominance in reusable rocket technology and the scaling of its Starlink satellite constellation. Ark analysts have previously modeled a 2030 enterprise value of $2.5 trillion, though recent corporate shifts may alter this outlook. A recent merger with Elon Musk's generative AI lab, xAI, and the social media platform X, has introduced the possibility of 'orbital data centers.' By leveraging low-cost launches and solar energy in space, SpaceX could potentially disrupt the terrestrial AI data center market, which currently sees massive capital expenditure from big tech. Despite the AI potential, Ark notes that Starlink remains the primary revenue engine. The fund projects Starlink and its government-focused Starshield arm to reach $165 billion in revenue by 2030, a massive jump from $7.4 billion in 2024 and $11.4 billion in 2025. In contrast, launch revenue is expected to grow modestly, from $3.2 billion in 2024 to $4.6 billion by 2030, as the company prioritizes the deployment of its own satellite constellation over third-party launches. The upcoming IPO will serve as a critical test for Ark's aggressive growth models and the market's appetite for space-based infrastructure.
