Ondo Finance Integrates Broadridge Proxy Voting for Tokenized Securities

Ondo Finance has announced a strategic partnership with financial technology leader Broadridge to implement proxy voting for holders of tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This integration addresses a long-standing deficiency in the tokenized securities market: the inability of on-chain investors to participate in corporate governance. The new system utilizes a Web3-enabled relay where investors connect their crypto wallets to Broadridge’s ProxyVote platform. Once a voting preference is submitted, Ondo’s issuer executes the vote on the underlying physical shares, with the entire process recorded on-chain to ensure transparency and auditability. Data from RWA.xyz highlights the rapid growth of this sector, with tokenized stocks reaching $1.15 billion in distributed value, a 25.46% increase over the last 30 days. Monthly transfer volumes have climbed to $2.27 billion, supported by a growing base of over 217,000 holders. Popular assets in this category include tokens linked to NVIDIA, Tesla, and S&P 500 products. Ondo currently maintains a dominant position in the market, controlling approximately 70% of the tokenized stock sector with over $700 million in total value locked. The firm's offerings are distributed across the Ethereum, Solana, and BNB chains. This development follows a series of expansions for Ondo, including a partnership with Franklin Templeton to bring five ETFs on-chain and the listing of 10 tokenized assets—including Apple and the Invesco QQQ ETF—on the Binance Alpha platform.
