Eni SpA Resumes Orinoco Belt Operations in Venezuela

Eni SpA has officially agreed to restart oil production activities within Venezuela’s Orinoco Belt, marking a strategic expansion of its footprint in the South American nation. The Italian energy firm is moving to revitalize stalled assets as the international regulatory environment shifts. The agreement was finalized following high-level discussions in Caracas between Eni Chief Executive Officer Claudio Descalzi and interim President Delcy Rodríguez. The deal focuses specifically on the resumption of work at the Junín-5 venture, a key project in the region's heavy oil belt.
