SCAT Airlines, the Kazakhstani air carrier, has entered into an agreement with The Boeing Company to expand its current fleet with 737 MAX jets. The move is part of a strategic effort to improve operational efficiency and broaden the airline's single-aisle service capabilities. By integrating these aircraft, SCAT intends to increase its capacity for longer-range flights, specifically targeting an expansion of its route network into Europe. The transition to the MAX platform allows the carrier to optimize fuel efficiency and passenger capacity on these critical corridors. While the financial terms of the latest agreement were not disclosed, the airline has previously secured five 737-9 aircraft. Furthermore, SCAT converted five existing orders for 737-8 jets into the larger 737-9 variant to better align with its growth objectives.
