Treasury management startup Stable Sea has added WisdomTree’s tokenized government money market fund to its platform. The move allows corporate clients to automate the allocation of idle cash into yield-bearing US Treasury securities via blockchain infrastructure.

  • Stable Sea enables automated 'sweeping' of corporate cash into tokenized Treasurys
  • WisdomTree's WTGXX fund offers 24/7 trading via SEC approval
  • Fund assets reached $857.64 million with a 3.43% yield as of late April
  • Institutional adoption is expanding to include tokenized funds as trading collateral
  • Major firms like BlackRock and Northern Trust are increasingly adopting blockchain fund infrastructure

Stable Sea has announced the integration of the WisdomTree Government Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX), enabling businesses to optimize their cash management by sweeping idle balances into tokenized US Treasury instruments. The service is designed to help corporate treasury teams move excess cash out of low-yield bank accounts and into government-backed assets more efficiently. The integration leverages blockchain technology to record ownership shares, which facilitates faster settlement and more automated transactions compared to traditional fund infrastructure. To maintain regulatory compliance, corporate clients must still undergo standard onboarding and compliance checks before accessing the fund. As of April 28, the WTGXX fund held total assets of $857.64 million and reported a yield of 3.43%. A significant operational advantage is the fund's ability to support 24/7 trading following approval from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, allowing investors to manage liquidity outside of traditional market hours. This development is part of a broader institutional shift toward the tokenization of real-world assets. Similar initiatives are gaining momentum, including a partnership between Franklin Templeton and Binance to use tokenized funds as off-exchange collateral, and a framework by Standard Chartered allowing the use of BlackRock's tokenized short-term Treasurys for trading on OKX. The entry of other major traditional finance players, such as Northern Trust Asset Management, suggests that tokenization is transitioning from a niche innovation into a structural component of core market infrastructure.
