German delivery giant Delivery Hero reported increased gross merchandise value and segment revenues for the first quarter. The company now expects its adjusted EBITDA to land in the upper half of its previously stated 2026 guidance.

  • Q1 GMV rose to 12.47 billion euros, an 8.8% LFL increase
  • Segment revenue increased to 3.73 billion euros, up 17.8% LFL
  • FY26 Adj. EBITDA guidance confirmed at 910M-960M euros, with a bias toward the upper half
  • Growth driven by Quick Commerce, AdTech, and subscription services
  • Regional strength noted in MENA and Korea, while Asia showed a decline

Delivery Hero SE has reported a positive start to the fiscal year, posting growth in both Group Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) and total segment revenues for the first quarter. The company attributed the gains to its strategic shift toward becoming an 'Everyday App' and the continued expansion of its Quick Commerce operations. The results highlight the company's ability to scale its delivery ecosystem beyond traditional food delivery. By integrating AdTech and subscription models, Delivery Hero is diversifying its revenue streams and improving operational efficiency across most of its global footprint. For the first quarter, Group GMV reached 12.47 billion euros, up from 12.37 billion euros in the prior year, representing an 8.8% increase on a like-for-like (LFL) basis. Growth was observed across all operating regions with the exception of Asia. Total segment revenue saw a more pronounced jump, rising to 3.73 billion euros from 3.39 billion euros year-over-year, a 17.8% increase on an LFL basis. CFO Marie-Anne Popp noted that targeted investments in the MENA region, Korea, and Quick Commerce are delivering tangible results. Consequently, the firm has narrowed its focus for the full year 2026, expressing confidence that adjusted EBITDA will fall in the upper half of its 910 million to 960 million euro guidance range. The company maintains its LFL GMV growth target of 8% to 10% and segment revenue growth targets of 14% to 16%.
