Deere & Company Appoints Brent Norwood as Chief Financial Officer

Deere & Company has officially announced the appointment of Brent Norwood to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective May 1. The selection comes after a comprehensive search process conducted by the company's Board of Directors to identify the most qualified candidate for the leadership position. Norwood is a veteran of the organization, bringing more than two decades of experience within Deere & Company and the broader financial sector. Since 2023, he has served as Vice President and Finance Director for the company's Power Systems as well as its Construction and Forestry division, providing him with deep operational insight into the firm's core business segments. Chairman and CEO John C. May praised the appointment, noting that Norwood is a proven leader with strong strategic judgment and a disciplined approach to capital allocation. May emphasized that Norwood's perspective will be critical as the company continues to execute its growth strategy and deliver long-term value to shareholders. In terms of market reaction, shares of Deere (DE) closed the previous trading session at $589.87, representing a 5.3 percent increase. However, the stock experienced a slight pullback in pre-market trading, declining 1.60 percent to $580.59 following the announcement.
